Position available in Adelaide.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer with 7-12 years experience, to join our Contaminated Land Management team in our Adelaide office.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of contaminated land assessment and remediation projects and will assist in the preparation of project proposals. Knowledge of contaminated land assessment procedures and the regulatory framework is required, as is experience in conducting such investigations. You will work within a team of experienced environmental scientists and engineers.
In this role you will use your experience to deliver outstanding outcomes for our clients. You will have a track record in delivering projects while focusing on time, budget and quality outcomes, and you will lead others in doing the same. You must demonstrate a highly developed ability to prepare and/or produce or manage print and electronic material. You will have a demonstrated track record in working within a team of professional consultants and in meeting clients’ needs. A science or engineering qualification from a recognised tertiary education establishment is essential.

This position is seen as an ideal career development opportunity for the person seeking future management responsibilities. You will possess the following skills and experience:
- a qualified engineer with 10–15 years experience in Australia in the residential and/or commercial building sectors;
- structural experience in design and documentation of footings, concrete retaining structures, concrete pits/wall and misc structures as required;

- good client liaison and consultation skills;
- ability to work across a variety of projects; and
- experienced in managing small teams, or willing to take that next step.
Position available in Adelaide
Ideally you will come from a consultancy background and have at least 5 years experience with Australian civil infrastructure projects, delivering building civil works as well as pavement and drainage design. Skills and experience sought for this position include:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5-10 years post graduate experience;
- eligibility for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia
- civil experience in design and documentation of earthworks, roadworks, drainage, rail, water and other civil infrastructure works;
- competent in the use of STAAD.Pro, MicroSTRAN, SPACE GASS, DRAINS, MicroStation, AUTOCAD (Civil 3D) software packages;
- previous participation in multi-discipline teams;
- a strong design background with the ability to lead and direct a design team;
- dealing with external clients and councils; and
- experience with building rapport with a range of stakeholders as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
Position available in our Melbourne office
A key role in an expanding office where you will be both challenged and rewarded. To be successful in winning this role you will possess the following:
- Qualifications in Structural Drafting (or related field);
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar role;
- Proven experience and proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant software;
- Ability to work closely with engineers to achieve project outcomes throughout the design lifecycle;
- Experience and understanding of Australian standards will be highly regarded;
- Liaise directly with multiple client contacts;
- Work proactively within a multi-discipline team of professionals;
- Provide professional guidance and leadership to less experienced members of the team;
- Produce high quality drawings for a client that puts a heavy emphasis on "first time right" principles;
- Ensure that deadlines are met on time and on budget; and
- Communicate ideas and information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Positions available in both our Adelaide and Melbourne offices.
These positions would suit an experienced Forensic Engineer or a structural engineer with experience in the analysis of distressed structures and buildings or a structural engineer who would like to develop a career in this field. You will:
- be a qualified Civil Engineer proficient in structural engineering calculations and enthusiastic about extending your expertise into forensic engineering; or
- have extensive experience in building inspections, reports and building construction;
- have knowledge in reinforced concrete characteristics; and
- have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Position available in our Melbourne office
Ideally you will have a completed qualification in civil design or drafting, and must have previous experience within Australia in one or more of the following areas.
- Residential footing designing;
- Storm and surface water management and design; and
- CAD drafting of residential footings and civil designs.
Position available in our Melbourne office
This position is seen as a key role to the expansion of our current Structural team. Ideally you will have a Bachelor of Engineering in structural engineering, and must have previous experience within Australia in one or more of the following areas.
- Residential, commercial and industrial building designing;
- Skills in the design and documentation of steel & concrete structures;
- Experience in site inspections and assessment of structures at Brownfield industrial sites, with knowledge of structural failure modes;
- Liaison with clients, sub-consultants and contractors; and
- Sound communication skills, teamwork and self motivation.
Position available in our Melbourne office
A key role providing support to a number of departments, the successful candidate will have:
- excellent written skills, minimum 60wpm with 95+ accuracy;
- high skill level in Excel;
- excellent time management skills and be able to balance workloads and meet deadlines; and
- experience in a building, construction or insurance field would be advantageous, but not necessary.
