Development of a 72-unit prestige housing development in a former quarry at Birksgate which involved stabilising the loosely filled quarry floor using Vibro-Dynamic Compaction, an innovative technique developed by our firm. The system has subsequently been used on a number of former claypit sites.

Rehabilitation of the former Hallett Bricks quarry and factory at Allenby Gardens into an award winning residential development, involving controlled compaction of more than 500,000 cubic metres of fill.

Aquifer Stormwater Recharge Scheme
Design of environmental management scheme for a sand mine in the Adelaide Plains. Adjacent the Gawler River, the mine rehabilitation scheme included using the main pits as a stormwater detention basin accommodating the 1 in 10 year flood diverter from the Gawler River and pumping the water to the underlying aquifer. The EIS included establishing a market for the stored water as irrigation for the adjacent market gardens. All earthworks designs and catchment and market studies were included in the project.
