ADMINISTRATOR  (SA)  

We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced administrator to work within our South Australian Administration team and assist with managing our clients lab requirements for 3 days per week on a 9 month contract.

 

What is the role? 
The administration duties of this role are broad and varied.  You will be working within a small team of administrators, technicians and engineers and will be communicating daily with clients over the phone and via email. Although the administration support required will be broad and varied, the core responsibility of this role will be to enter new sales orders, track in progress work, invoice completed work, attend to client queries while providing general office duty support for the Research team. 

 

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Exceptional customer service including verbal, phone and written communication skills are essential
  • Enjoy and work best in a busy and fast paced environment
  • Have a high level of initiative and attention to detail
  • Highly organised and able to manage several priorities
  • The ability to, from time to time, work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Solid typing and data entry skills
  • Strong computing skills with experience of Microsoft office programs (outlook, excel, word etc)
  • Experience within the building / construction industry preferred, but not necessary
  • Australian citizenship essential

 JUNIOR SOIL TECHNICIAN  (SA)  

Due to continued growth we are seeking a Junior Technical Operator to join our team and undertake laboratory testing.

This is an entry level position; experience is not essential but advantageous. A strong work ethic, reliable, honest, willingness to listen and learn, along with the ability to follow procedures methodically and take direction from senior staff are essential to this position. This position would ideally suit school leavers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake routine laboratory testing of soil, concrete and aggregates in accordance with AS1289, AS1012 and AS1141
  • Carry out designated tests strictly in accordance with laboratory procedures
  • Ensure testing outputs are met and exceeded
  • Maintain and set up equipment for use in testing
  • Operate and calibrate instruments
  • Classify and log samples to AS1726

Skills and Experience

Applicants possessing any of the following will be highly regarded:

  • TAFE or similar course in laboratory testing or related discipline
  • Year 12 SACE Certificate
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to follow procedures methodically and take direction
  • Strong maths and physics background (not a necessity)

SENIOR FIELD TECHNICIAN  (SA) 

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced senior field soil technician's to assist our Research lab team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake routine laboratory testing of soil, concrete and aggregates in accordance with AS1289, AS1012 and AS1141
  • Carry out designated tests strictly in accordance with laboratory procedures
  • Ensure testing outputs are met and exceeded
  • Maintain and set up equipment for use in testing
  • Operate and calibrate instruments
  • Classify and log samples to AS1726

Skills and Experience

Applicants possessing any of the following will be highly regarded:

  • Demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge of laboratory and field testing
  • In depth understanding of AS3797, AS1289, AS1012, AS 1141 and AS1726
  • Certificate IV in laboratory techniques
  • Nuclear density gauge license
  • Current construction induction white card
  • Current drivers license and ability to drive manual vehicles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients
  • Physically fit and prepared to undertake labour intensive tasks, at times
  • Experience working on tier 1 & 2 civil construction projects
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Australian citizenship essential
