Environmental Team Leader

FMG Engineering is a very well-known and highly regarded multi-disciplinary National Engineering Consultancy providing services and solutions to the development, property and urban infrastructure sectors. With offices in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, we employ over 150 staff, comprising engineers, scientists, technicians, and support staff.

This position offers you the opportunity to make your mark by maintaining and growing our environmental team to support our urban development works. You will develop and refine reporting lines, systems and procedures with best practice in mind.  There will be a significant focus on bidding, winning and delivering new work.

As the ideal candidate you will have: 

  • Degree qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering environmental projects in the areas of due diligence, contaminated land investigations (including assessment for environmental audits), risk assessment and remediation
  • Site Contamination Practitioner certification
  • Sound knowledge of current environmental legislation, standards and guidelines
  • Proven project management expertise in relevant industry
  • Experience managing/structuring a team
  • Demonstrated client contact, liaison and management skills
  • Demonstrated skills in field sampling techniques
  • Established relationships with builders, developers, architects, urban planners and project managers (highly desirable)
  • Computer software experience using ESdat, gINT, ProUCL, Surfer, GW Chart etc (highly desirable)
  • A driver’s licence
